Landmark Landscapes of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin donates labor for the cleanup of Vollrath Park in Sheboygan following a devastating storm.
Powerful storms producing straight line winds ripped through Sheboygan, Wisconsin the evening of Wednesday June 15th. The aftermath of these storms saw hundreds of fallen and damaged trees throughout the Sheboygan area.
Landmark Sends Crew to Cleanup Vollrath Park
Many residents of Sheboygan experienced property damage as a result of the storm. Landmark Landscapes mobilized Thursday June 16th and continued cleanup work the week of June 20th to assist our clients with the fall out of this roaring storm.
Landmark Landscapes has been in business in the Sheboygan County area for more than 30 years. As an organization we take pride in serving the community. Learning that a cornerstone public space of Sheboygan, Vollrath Park, was affected by the storm, Landmark Landscapes Operations Manager, Jon Bock reached out to City of Sheboygan Forester, Tim Bull to see how Landmark could lend a hand.
With the City of Sheboygan being overwhelmed by the task of removing trees from roads, structures and homes, the parks will be further down the line in getting addressed. Tim Bull welcomed Landmark Landscapes’ offer to donate 24 hours of labor to cut up fallen trees and fell large trees that pose a danger to the general public. Bock stated, “Safety is a value of utmost importance to Landmark Landscapes. So if we can contribute to making our community safer it is a win for everyone.”
Landmark Values Community Involvement
Landmark Landscapes Landscape Specialist and Arborist, Marshall Boll, who led the cleanup efforts at Vollrath Park said, “It was good to be in a position to help out the local community so that residents can get back to safely enjoying the park and having fun.” The comments by Boll fall in line with Landmark Landscapes Values, specifically those of Do Right, Be Safe and involve ourselves in our community.
